LEARN is founded on Connecting Researchers, Enhancing Collaboration, Informing Policy, and Empowering Stewardship. Researchers from nearly 20 Ohio institutions have assisted in the development and activities of LEARN.
LEARN's mission is to promote collaborative research, education and networking to address the challenges and opportunities facing Ohio’s freshwater resources and with specialized course offerings and workshops research facilities.
Voting membership in LEARN is open to any individual at academic institutions and for non-voting membership to employees of government/public agencies supporting the goals and objectives of the Network.

The H2Ohio Wetland Monitoring Program is LEARN’s first collaborative project with the goal to assess nutrient removal by H2Ohio wetland projects to help improve future construction and monitoring strategies.
