Great Lakes, Healthy Lives: What We Know About the Health Impacts of Harmful Algal Blooms and How You Can Drive Change
March 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Speakers: Dr. Davis Kennedy, Dr. Steven Haller and Dr. Joan Duggan, UToledo Health
Join us for an engaging discussion about the health impacts of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) in the Great Lakes region. This talk will provide an overview of what we currently know about HAB-related health risks, what remains unknown, and why your involvement is critical. We will introduce the Great Lakes Aerosol Monitoring (GLAMR) Community Health Study, explain how you can participate and discuss how this study will help answer key questions and guide future public health measures to protect those who live, work and plan in HAB-affected areas. Come learn how your contribution can make a lasting impact on community health and safety.
Take a shuttle from UToledo’s Main Campus to the Lake Erie Center. Shuttle departs 6:15 pm. Email lakeeriecenter@utoledo.edu for details and shuttle reservation, or call 419.530.8360.
