
Lake Erie Sport Fishing Course and Workshop

Description
This physical education course is an introduction to techniques and equipment used in Lake Erie sport fishing featuring daily Lake Erie angling trips with lectures that include related aquatic science information.
This is a one-week introductory, for credit course*, taught in-person at Gibraltar Island.
*If taken as a workshop for non-credit, the cost would be $1250. Workshop fee would include room and meals.
All courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure a spot, but at a minimum of two weeks prior to the course start date is required.
Scholarships are available
Each year, Stone Lab awards scholarships to students and educators with financial need and superior academic records. Anyone taking a for-credit class (and some workshops) is eligible to apply.
Prerequisites
High school students must have completed their sophomore year, be at least 15 years of age, and have completed one course of high school biology or environmental science prior to the beginning of the selected course.
Note: Stone Lab courses are not eligible for College Credit Plus.
