Aquaculture Internship, University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Northern Aquaculture Demonstration Facility
Summer 2023: May 22-August 31st
OVERVIEW: Combined work & student research experiences through the state-of-the-art University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Northern Aquaculture Demonstration Facility (UWSP NADF) in Bayfield, WI.
The facility is one of a kind in the Midwest and joins only a handful in the nation with similar research, demonstration and education capabilities. Interns will be immersed in current facility research, species and systems including walleye and Atlantic salmon raised in incubation, larval, pond, flow-through and recirculating systems. Opportunities exist for internship credit. These internships offer applied experience under the supervision of the UWSP-NADF.
STIPEND: $14/hr.

- Qualifications: ELIGIBILITY: Undergraduate students who will have completed at least one-year of study towards a bachelor's degree and are still undergraduates during summer 2023. Preference will be given to UW-Stevens Point students majoring or minoring in biology fields, fisheries, or aquaculture; but all students from various colleges or backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
